How to use it
Choose the area where you will sleep. If your county is not in the list, choose “Any other county”: the standard rate applies there. Dates can run from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2027, so a trip may cross from FY 2026 into FY 2027; each day uses its own fiscal year’s rate.
The page address keeps your choice, so a trip can be bookmarked or sent to a colleague.
What the numbers mean
Lodging cap is the most GSA allows per night before taxes; reimbursement is the actual room cost up to that cap. M&IE covers meals and incidental expenses at a flat daily rate. On the first and last day of travel the M&IE is 75%, as GSA’s breakdown table sets out.
Not covered: lodging taxes, meals provided by the government or a conference (deducted per GSA’s breakdown), same-day trips, and agency rules. These rates apply to federal employees on official travel; the figures are a calculation, not a reimbursement decision.
